If you know me, you know I LOVE jewelry! I’m all about accessorizing and finding that one piece (or three or ten) that instantly elevates an outfit. Whether it's a stack of colorful bracelets, a statement necklace (or two), or some beachy beaded layers — I’m here for all of it!!!!!!
With spring in full swing and summer just around the corner (I CANNOT WAIT), I’ve been refreshing my accessories with pieces that feel light, summery, and a little bit coastal. Think: pops of bright color, layers of pearls and shells, and a mix of textures that make the simplest outfit feel styled! To me, jewelry for Spring/Summer 2025 is all about effortless layering and just the right touch of beachy flair.
Whether you're heading to the coast or just daydreaming about it, here are the jewelry trends I can’t get enough of this season — plus a little DIY magic if you’re feeling crafty and can’t help doing things yourself like me!
Shell Accents, Always
Seashells are back (again) — and honestly, they never really left. From tiny cowries on bracelets to statement puka shell chokers with a 2025 twist, this trend channels a laid-back, beachy vibe that feels elevated when paired with gold hardware or mixed metal accents.
How to wear it:
Layer a single shell pendant with finer gold chains, or go all-in with a shell-adorned and beaded mixed necklace. I like to style these types of stacks with sundresses, anything linen, or my personal fav- a matching set.
Pearls, But Make It Coastal Modern
Forget the polished, matchy-matchy pearl sets — this season, it's all about giving them a laid-back twist. Baroque pearls are irregular, imperfect, and naturally beautiful, making them the perfect addition to your summer stack. Think surfer girl meets soft glam. Look for pieces that combine pearls with unexpected textures: leather cords, colorful beads, or even large resin accent beads.
OV’s style tip:
Play with scale and shape! A choker of tiny pearls layered with a longer strand of baroque pearls or shells gives just the right mix of beachy and bold.
Custom Charm Necklaces
One of my favorite trends this season? Charm necklaces that feel completely personal! Whether you’re picking out initials, tiny symbols, or travel-inspired trinkets, custom charms are a fun way to add meaning (or just a pop of color) to your stack. You can go dainty with just one or two, or build out a full-on statement piece with layered strands and mixed materials.
Why I love it:
It’s such a simple way to tell a story. Add a charm from a favorite trip, your birthstone, or something that just makes you smile — and suddenly your necklace feels like you!
DIY tip:
Check out your local bead shop or check Etsy for unique finds. Grab a chain style of your choice, a few jump rings, and charms that speak to you — and you’ve got yourself a one-of-a-kind piece that everyone will be asking about!
Coastal-Inspired DIY Jewelry: Simple, Fun, and Totally Personal
There’s something so satisfying about wearing a piece you made yourself — and it’s surprisingly easy to get started. Go to your local craft or bead store (or go online) and grab:
Natural shells or shell beads
Freshwater pearls (real or faux)
Colored Glass Beads
Elastic thread or wire, clasps, and jump rings
Small pliers and scissors
Spacer beads and charms for extra flair
E6000 glue (to seal knots and make sure your jewelry doesn’t fall apart)
Where to shop:
Walmart, Michaels, and Joann’s all carry great pearl and beading options. But if you’re looking for value packs of shell charms and beads, Amazon has a ton of affordable options as well!
Olivia’s go-to idea:
Make a simple shell choker by stringing small shells onto waxed or elastic cord and tying it off with an adjustable knot. Or alternate large pearls and glass beads for a dainty necklace that layers like a dream. Just don’t forget to seal the finished product knots with a dab of E6000!

Living in Naples by the beach, I also love finding shells during low tide and adding them to my pieces — it makes each one feel even more personal and unique.
These jewelry trends are all about mixing personal touches with a relaxed, coastal vibe. Whether you're layering pearls and shells or creating your own pieces, have fun with it and make it your own.
I can’t wait to see how you style your pieces this season!
xoxo, Olivia!
